Puppy-a-go-go!

Good news, everyone! Puppy Pre-school is scheduled to start this Wednesday, May 8th in the 5:30 pm time slot in our Mahopac location!

As many of you know, the Puppy Pre-school is a lot like a flash-mob for puppies in that it can only run when we have enough puppies between 8 weeks and 20 weeks who can all make it to class at the appointed time.

This class runs for as long as we have enough puppies in that age range. (The longest run was 2011 when we went for three straight months!)

What’s the new Free Form class all about?

Dog in Class

It’s a solutions/shaping/proofing class.

This is the class where you get to tell me what we will be working on each week as students present me with a couple training challenges or puzzles and together we will work on them.

You might want to work on loose-leash walking, barking, mouthy behaviors, jumping, chewing, stress reduction, pushy attention getting behaviors, tricks, fears and confidence building. This is the place!!!

In other words let’s say you’ve done Basic, maybe Intermediate, or even Advanced and there are still things nagging you – this is the class!

Very often folks have similar issues but don’t compare notes, sometimes teams can learn from each other as much as from me. This is not the class for reactive behavior that we nave not worked on in private setting. Teams need to have done at least Basic manners or have instructor’s approval.

You can enroll for all six classes or drop-in when you can or need to.

Three Dogs 2012 Silly Holiday Photo Contest Winners!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is now upon us!

Lawrence has been diligently collecting all the silly Holiday photo contest entries (and there were even more this year than last!), sat me down to go through them all, and then told me who the winners were.

So, without further ado…

Our three winners are, in no particular order:

Our second annual Three Dogs Silly Holiday Photo Contest!

Last year's winner, Maggie.

Update:  Our Silly Holiday Photo Contest is now closed. See you next year!

The air is crisp, it’s getting dark just after lunchtime, and the holidays are upon us – so it’s time for our second annual silly holiday photo contest!

The rules are simple:

  1. Fill out the form below with your name, email, and phone number and attach your silliest holiday dog photo.
  2. Only one photo per family, so make it your best!
  3. No repeat photos from the last contest – let’s keep those skills sharp!

We’ll collect them and Lawrence will judge the top three silliest entries. (Why Lawrence? To avoid favoritism since I know so many of you and your dogs personally.)
