Our Training Philosophy

The best Dog/Human relationship comes through a balance of boundaries, requested behaviors, and freedoms.

Three Dogs Training is based on the simple premise that it is not necessary to scare or hurt a dog in order to get them to follow your requests and commands.

A dog who wants to do what you say because it’s fun will not only be a happier dog, but will be more responsive and retain the training longer than a dog who is motivated by fear or pain.

Our goals at Three Dogs Training are:

  To teach you how to establish a positive training environment;

  To teach you how to get, and keep, your dog’s attention;

  To help you develop the tools and relationship skills necessary to have a well-trained dog who is happy to do what you ask of them.

If your dog has fun learning new commands and is rewarded for doing them, they’ll want to do them again and again.
